From the Editor

Recently, I heard a song on the radio where the singer professed throughout the chorus that he wanted to be mistaken for Jesus. At first thought, I was taken aback thinking the song was sacrilegious. After all, who can compare to Jesus, so perfect in all His ways? A verse or two and a refrain later, I realized the artist’s rendition was earnest and right on. Ephesians 4:13 describes how we are trying to reach unity in our walk, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. So as we interact with others daily and if Jesus truly lives in our heart, the outpouring should be reflections, actions of Jesus. The more Christ like we become, we really can become “mistaken” for Jesus, epistles of Christ (2 Cor. 3:2,3). In the end, I was thankful for the song because it was a vivid and practical reminder of the tasks that God calls me to daily.

(from “Mistaken” by Warren Barfield)

I shouldn't have to tell you who I am
Cause who I am should be speaking for itself
Cause if I am who I, I want to be
Then who you see won't even be me
Oh the more and more I disappear
The more and more He becomes clear

CHORUS:

Til everyone I talk to hears His voice
And everything I touch feels the warmth of His hand
Til everyone I meet
Sees Jesus in me
This is all I wanna be
I wanna be mistaken
For Jesus
Oh I wanna be mistaken
